St Edward's Tower is sixty-four metres of red and white brick beside the cathedral, and a lift runs to a viewing gallery near the top. What makes it worth the fare is where it stands: Victoria has no other tall building, so the gallery looks straight down Victoria Street to the Abbey and Parliament, across the parks to the London Eye, and south to Battersea's four chimneys.
