All Rivers Spill Their Stories to the Sea, on 5 October, follows Stan Rennie, a North East fisherman of fifty years' standing who became an unlikely campaigner when thousands of poisoned crabs washed up on his coast and nobody in authority would say why. Jeanie Finlay is a Teessider and films it as a David and Goliath story with her subject's own gallows humour intact.
MKO, on 20 October, is about Moshood Abiola, who won Nigeria's freest election in 1993, was jailed when the military annulled it, and died after being served a cup of tea while American diplomats were in the room negotiating his release. Ose Oyamendan has the family, two presidents, Wole Soyinka and the delegate who was there.
Both are open-captioned, with a British Sign Language interpreter on stage through the Q&A.
