The Sahrawi have been living in refugee camps in the Algerian desert since 1975. These are first films by young directors born in them, made about their own elders and about what has changed in a culture kept going for half a century away from the land it belongs to.
The evening is a world premiere with talks and questions, and the film-makers are here along with people from IRSAAN, the Sahrawi-led health charity that works in the camps. Put together with University College London and the University of the Arts.
