Kuti came to Trinity to study classical music in the 1950s and left having invented something else entirely; Dele Sosimi, who played keyboards in Kuti's Egypt 80, leads the students through his music in the first half. After the interval the jazz ensemble take on Richard Bona, Daniel Casimir and Brice Wassy under Calum Gourlay, with Chelsea Carmichael and others guesting.
This edition looks at Nigeria and Cameroon. There is late jazz in the bar afterwards.
