Adam Hickox conducts, with Liya Petrova - both in residence with the RPO this season - in the Sibelius concerto, the piece a failed violinist wrote for the soloist he never became. An overture by Grazyna Bacewicz opens, and Vaughan Williams's Fifth closes: written between 1938 and 1943 and first heard at a Prom while the bombing was still going on. 19:30, about two hours ten, £24.50 to £64.50.
