Isobel McArthur's version gives the whole novel to five women playing the maids, who then play everybody else as well, and breaks into karaoke whenever the feeling gets too big for speech. It started at the Tron in Glasgow in 2018 with Blood of the Young and took Best Entertainment or Comedy Play at the 2022 Oliviers.
