Robert Khan and Tom Salinsky's play starts in 1976 with the succession open and three cabinet friends who each believe it is theirs. What it is really about is how personal the ideological was: the rivalries took the three of them down together and left the party out of power for eighteen years. It sold out at the King's Head last year and is touring on the strength of it.
