Principal Librarian Eugene Rae takes the famous objects - the Everest model, the polar sledges, the instruments that came back from the expeditions - and Cartographic Collections Manager Katherine Parker follows the centuries of attempts to map the Pacific. The ticket also opens Midnight Sun, an exhibition of polar photographs by Sue Flood and Ian Dawson. Part of Westminster's Silver Sunday programme for older residents, though anyone may book; free, with a second tour at 16:00.
