FestivalLecture / talk
At Royal Geographical Society.
Explore is the one gathering in Britain for people organising expeditions and field research, and it turns fifty this year. The Friday opens with orientation sessions, building tours, all-day access to the Collections in the Foyle Reading Room and the anniversary evening talks; Saturday and Sunday are keynotes, panels, breakout seminars and workshops, with advice desks staffed by people who can tell you about permits, funding, insurance and kit. Free afternoon celebrations on the Friday are bookable separately. £135.00, or £95.00 for members, with lunches included.
