De Valois (1898-2001) built a national company, a school and an audience for ballet in a country that had none, and inside the building nobody used her name. The evening mixes excerpts from the ballets she made - The Rake's Progress, Checkmate, Job - with conversation and film about what she did and how the company still works the way she set it up. Kevin O'Hare and Lauren Cuthbertson put it together.
